The Georgetown University men's golf team is tied for 15th place among 20 teams after the first round of play at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, being hosted by the College of William & Mary at the Woods Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.

James Madison leads the 20-team field at 7-under par 281, while UNC-Greensboro is second at 1-under par 287, USC-Upstate is third at 3-over par 291 and William & Mary and Binghamton are tied for fourth place at 5-over 293.

Georgetown is tied for 15th at 17-over par 305 along with Canisius, St. Joseph's and Maryland.

Sophomore transfer Curtis Loop (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan/California) is tied for 22nd place at 1-over par 73 to lead the team.

Junior Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) is tied for 48th place at 4-over par 76 and senior co-captain Brandon Ellis (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis de Sales) is tied for 61st place at 5-over 177.

Senior co-captain Danny Hathway (Rockville, Md./Georgetown Prep) is tied for 85th place at 7-over par 79 and freshman Charlie von Arentschildt (Phoenix, Ariz./Deerfield Academy [Conn.]) is tied for 95th place at 8-over par 80. Final round play for the tournament will be held on Tuesday.
