Georgetown Men's Golf Moving Up at Middleburg Bank Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Georgetown University men's golf team rebounded, shooting a 19-over par 299, to move into 21st place overall in the 27 team field at the Middleburg Bank Invitational at Kingsmill Resort.

Junior Brian Tohir (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) shot a team-best three-over par 73 to put himself at 154, tied for 83rd overall after the second round. Tohir is tied with junior Greg Podufal (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep), who shot a second round 76.

Senior Ed McCrossen shot a five-over par 75 to put himself at 152 through two days, tied for 70th overall.

Senior Charlie vonArentshildt (Scottsdale, Ariz./Deerfield Academy) is tied for 104th after shooting a 79 during the second round. Freshman Andrew Rudy (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines) shot a 75, the second best mark on the team during the second round. Rudy is tied for 112th overall.

Texas Tech, Eastern Michigan and James Madison lead the field through the first two rounds.

The Hoyas will play the third and final round of the Middleburg Bank Invitational at Kingsmill Resort on Wednesday morning.
