Georgetown Tied for 14th Place at C&F Bank Intercollegiate

The Georgetown University men's golf team posted a 23-over par 307 in the second round and dropped into a tie for 14th place after the second round of play at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate, being hosted by the College of William & Mary at the River Course at Kingsmill in Williamsburg, Va.

The Hoyas had been tied for 10th place after a first round 9-over par 293 on Sunday, but carry a 32-over par 600 into the final round of play, tied for 14th with host William & Mary.

Missouri leads the field of 29 teams at 8-over par 576, five shots ahead of Old Dominion (13-over par 581), while UNCG is in third place at 15-over par 583.

Senior Taylor Hall (Roswell, Ga./Trinity Catholic) posted his second-straight round of 3-over par 74 and leads the team, standing in a tie for 28th place at 6-over par 148.

Sophomore Charlie vonArentschildt (Scottsdale, Ariz./Deerfield Academy) is tied for 53rd place at 9-over par 151, posting a 7-over par 78 in the second round.

Senior Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) shot a 6-over par 77 in the second round and is tied for 68th place at 10-over par 152.

Junior Curtis Loop (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan), who was tied for 14th place after the first round, shot an 11-over par 82 in the second round and is now tied for 84th place at 11-over par 153.

Freshman Greg Podufal (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) is tied for 87th place at 10-over par 154, carding a 7-over par 73 in the second round.

The tournament continues on Monday, March 26 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
