Men's Golf Holds Fourth Place at Wildcat Invitational

WASHINGTON - After two rounds at the Wildcat Invitational Georgetown University's men's golf team is in fourth place out of 13 teams. The Hoyas shot a two round team total of 602 (299-303) on the par 71, 7,055 yard course at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa. GU is two strokes off second place teams, Villanova and Delaware. Leading the Wildcat Invitational is Rhode Island with a 595 (298-297).
Sophomore Greg Podufal (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) fired a team best four over par, 146 (71-75). Podufal had six birdies during his two rounds and is tied for fourth overall. He is six strokes off the leader, Brandon Shattuck of Delaware.
Freshman Raleigh Chapin (Doylestown, Pa./New Hope Solebury) is tied at ninth overall with a two round total of 150 (72-78). Senior Curtis Loop (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) carded a 76-78 (154) and is currently tied for 23rd place. Loop managed four birdies on the day.
Sophomore Brian Tohir (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) is tied at 33rd after shooting a 156 (80-76). While senior Justin Edwards (Westlake Village, Calif./Westlake Village) is tied at 38th with a 157 (83-74).
The third and final round of the Wildcat Invitational will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2.
