The Georgetown University men's golf team shot a second round score of 12-over par 296 and finished in third place at the Navy Fall Classic, held at the United States Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md. After playing under sunny and clear conditions in the first round, the final round was played under rainy conditions.

The Hoyas finished with a 36-hole score of 13-over par 581. Delaware topped the 16-team field, firing a 1-over par 569, with Towson placing second at 9-over par 577.

Junior Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) was the top finisher for Georgetown, tying for ninth place at 2-over par 144. He posted a 1-over par 72 in the second round.

Junior Taylor Hall (Roswell, Ga./Blessed Trinity) finished in 11th place at 3-over par 145. After firing a 2-under par 69 in the opening round, Hall closed out the weekend with a 5-over par 76.

Senior co-captain Brandon Ellis (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis de Sales), an All-BIG EAST selection last year, and sophomore transfer Curtis Loop (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan/California) tied for 16th place at 5-over par 147. Ellis and Loop each posted scores of 4-over par 75 in the final round.

Senior co-captain Danny Hathway (Rockville, Md./Georgetown Prep) posted the team's second-best score of the day with a 3-over par 74 and tied for 31st place at 8-over par 150.

Georgetown is back in action on Sept. 27-28, playing at the Gridiron Classic, hosted by Notre Dame.
