Georgetown Men's Golf Finishes First Round at Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic

Greg Podufal is tied for 34th after the first round.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Georgetown University men's golf team is currently tied for 12th place out of as many teams after day one at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic at Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind.

Leading the way for the Hoyas is freshman Andrew Rudy, who is tied for 24th overall, shooting a two-over par-73 in the first round. Junior Greg Podufal is close behind carding a 74 on the first day. Podufal is tied for 34th overall.

Junior Brian Tohir is currently tied for 63rd, shooting a 78, with senior captain, Charlie Von Arentschildt shooting a nine-over par 80, and sophomore Matthew Moosavian finished the day shooting an 86. The Hoyas have a combined score of 305, 23 strokes behind the leading Houston Cougars squad.

Round two of the Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic will begin on Tuesday morning at Warren Golf Club.
