Georgetown Men's Golf Finishes Final Round at Fightin' Irish Gridiron Classic

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Georgetown University men's golf team finished competition at the Fightin' Irish Gridiron Classic at Warren Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon, placing 13th overall. The Hoyas shoot a team 20-over par 304 during the third and final round and a team 915 over the three round tournament.
Freshman Andrew Rudy led the Hoyas, finishing tied for 39th, shooting a 224 over three rounds, after carding a five-over par 76 in the third round. Senior captain Charlie von Arentschildt turned his best round of the tournament, shooting a three-over par 74 on Tuesday to finish tied for 66th place with a 231 over three rounds. He tied with teammate Brian Tohir, whose second round two-over par 73 was tied for the best round for a Hoya during the three rounds.
Greg Podufal finished 76th overall after a final round 10-over par 81 to shoot a three-round 237. Matthew Moosavian rounded out the Georgetown competitors shooting a three-over par 74 during the final round to finish 78th overall with a 241.
Houston finished as the team champion with a tournament record score of 847 (-5), and was the only of the 13 teams under par this week. Kyle Pilgrim from Houston was the medalist at 208 (-5).
The Hoyas return to action at The Firestone Golf Club in Firestone, Ohio to compete in The Firestone Invitational hosted by Akron University on Monday, October 7.
