The Georgetown University men’s golf team is in seventh among 16 teams after the first two rounds of play at the Patriot Intercollegiate, being played at the par-72, 7-071-yard Chantilly National Golf and Country Club in Centreville, Va.
Six individuals still need to complete the second round and the third, and final, round will being on Tuesday at approximately 8:30 a.m.
The Hoyas posted scores of 7-over par 295 and 8-over par 296, respectively, to finish the day at 15-over par 591.
Delaware leads the field at 3-over 576, three shots ahead of Florida Gulf Coast (6-over par 557. Appalachian State is third (8-over par 581), George Mason is fourth (11-over par 587) and Elon and Bethune-Cookman are tied for fifth place (14-over par 590).
Leading Georgetown is senior Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Cardinal Gibbons [Fla.]), who is tied for second place at 4-under par 140. He fired rounds of 1-under par 71 and 3-under par 69, respectively.
Sophomore Eduardo Blochein (Delray Beach, Fla./Spanish River Community) is tied for 16th place at 2-over par 146, including an even par 72 in the second round.
Senior Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) is tied for 43rd place at 8-over par 152.
Sophomore Hardin Council (High Point, N.C./Westchester Country Day) is tied for 71st place at 14-over par 158 and senior Jack Musgrave (Chesterton, Ind./Andrean) is tied for 74th place with a score of 15-over par 159.
