The Georgetown University men’s golf team shot a 10-over par 294 in the final round of play and finished in second place at the 32nd Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate, held at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md.

The Hoyas finished the tournament with a two-day, 54-hole score of 6-over par 858, firing a 7-under par 277 in Monday’s second round.

Notre Dame topped the 12-team field, finishing at 6-under par 846. DePaul and Rhode Island tied for third place at 9-over par 861, while Eastern Michigan finished in fifth place at 10-over par 862.

Ben Albin of Notre Dame was the individual medalist, firing an 11-under par 202, including tying the course record with a 5-under par 66 in the first round on Monday.

Georgetown junior Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood) fired a 5-under par 66, tying the competitive course record at Four Streams in Tuesday’s final round, and finished in second place at 9-under par 204.

One other member of the team’s five scoring players finished in the top 20, with senior Andrew Rudy (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines) tying for 18th at 5-over par 218. Rudy shot a 2-under par 69 on Tuesday.

Junior Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./The Haverford School) finished off another strong tournament tied for 21st overall at 6-over par 219, including a 3-under par 68 in Monday’s first round.

Junior Jack Musgrave (Charleston, Ind./Andrean) finished tied for 28th at 8-over par 221 and freshman Hardin Councill (High Point, N.C./Westchester Country Day) finished at 15-over par 228, which was good for a tie at 48th.

Senior Austin Rendell (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier), playing as an individual, cracked the top-10 by finishing at 1-under par 212 and tied for 10th place. Three other Hoyas also competed as individuals. Sophomore Anthony Perrino finished tied for 32nd place at 9 over par 222. Patrick DiPasquale was right behind Perrino at 10-over par 223, good for a tie at 35th and sophomore Kevin Jackson (Atlanta, Ga./Marist School) rounded out the Hoya performances, finishing in 44th at 13-over par 226.

Georgetown returns to the course Monday October 24 in Fort Myers, Florida for the Homewood Suites FGCU Invite.
