Georgetown Men's Golf Finish 11th as 29th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate Concludes

BEALLSVILLE, Md. - The Georgetown University men's golf team finished competition at the 29th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate at The Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md. on Tuesday afternoon, finishing 11th of 12 teams with a 55-over par 907, over 54 holes.
Sophomore Matthew Moosavian, played independently, and finished tied for 24th overall, after a third round 73 helped him finish with an 11-over par 224.
The Hoyas shot a third round 303, improving by five strokes over its second round on Monday afternoon. Junior captain Greg Podufal finished 31st overall shooting a 12-over par 225, during the three round invitational. Senior captain Charlie von Arentschildt finished one stroke behind, tied for 34th overall.
No. 8 UAB won the overall team title, setting a course record by shooting a team five-under par 847. Notre Dame (+17, 869) and Penn State (+24, 876) rounded out the top three. UAB's Paul Dunne won the individual title, carding a four-under par 209, while Toledo's Chris Selfridge (-2, 211) and UAB's Martin Rohwer (-2, 211) medaled.
The Hoyas lineup was rounded out by senior Ed McCrossen, who finished 49th at 17-over par 230. Junior Brian Tohir finished 52nd at 18-over par 231, and freshman Andrew Rudy carded a 31-over par 244 for the Hoyas.
The Hoyas will close its fall season when they travel to The Miromar Lakes Golf Course in Fort Myers, Fla. for The Cobra Invitational hosted by Xavier.
