WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's golf team climbed the leaderboard at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Monday, moving up eight spots in the standings to sit tied for sixth after 36 holes. The Hoyas shot a second round 282 for a two-day score of 575 going into the final round on Tuesday at Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, N.C.
Jack Musgrave (Chesterton, Ind./Andrean) shot a 2-under par 69 in the second round to lead the Hoyas while Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood/Cardinal Gibbons [Fla.]) was also below par with a 1-under 70. Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit) was even-par at 71 and Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) rounded out the second round scoring with a 1-over 72. Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla./Spanish River) carded a 73 for the Blue & Gray as well.
After two days, Madsen (143) sits tied for 23rd, DiPasquale (144) is tied for 28th, Berman (145) is tied for 38th, Musgrave (146) is tied for 44th and Blochtein (147) is tied for 52nd.
Campbell (540) remains in the lead followed by Ball State (559) and host Old Dominion (562) as the only teams below par. North Dakota State (569) and Drake (573) are fourth and fifth, respectively, while Delaware (575), Towson (575), Georgetown (575) and Akron (575) are all tied for sixth. Rounding out the competition is Nebraska-Omaha (576), George Mason (578), Saint Joseph's (Pa.) (580), St. Francis (Pa.) (583), Hartford (584), Marshall (586), Drexel (591), Longwood (591) and Manhattan (594)
The ODU/OBX Intercollegiate concludes on Tuesday with final 18 holes in the event.
