WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's golf team closed out its fall schedule with a sixth-place showing at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Hoyas shot their best round of the tournament to wrap things up, a 4-under par 280, to finish with a 54-hole total of 3-over par 855.
Campbell (806) won the event with Ball State (821), host Old Dominion (830) and North Dakota State (851) all shooting below par. Akron (854) edged the Hoyas (855) by one stroke while the Blue & Gray finished one stroke ahead of Drake (856). The middle of the pack included Towson (866), Delaware (867), George Mason (869), Nebraska-Omaha (870), Marshall (872) and Hartford (872) while Saint Joseph's (881), St. Francis (Pa.) (881), Longwood (883), Drexel (886) and Manhattan (891) rounded out the competition.
Jack Musgrave (Chesterton, Ind./Andrean), Sam Madsen (Madison, Wis./Edgewood/Cardinal Gibbons [Fla.]) and Patrick DiPasquale (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit) all shot a 2-under par 69 on Tuesday while Eduardo Blochtein (Delray Beach, Fla./Spanish River) carded a 73 and Cole Berman (Philadelphia, Pa./Haverford School) posted a 75.
Madsen (212) tied for 19th place overall while DiPasquale (213) tied for 22nd. Musgrave (215) tied for 27th and both Berman (220) and Blochtein (220) tied for 46th in the field of 93.
