The Georgetown University men's golf team shot a 34-over par 318 in the third and final round and finished in eighth place among 15 teams at the NCAA East Regional Preview, hosted by Columbia University at the Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway, N.J.

The Hoyas were in a tie for first place after the opening round on Friday with a 17-over par 301, but posted consecutive scores of 29-over par 313 and 34-over par 318 to finish with a 54-hole score of 80-over par 932.

TCU, ranked 19th in the country by Golfweek Magazine, fired a tournament-best 7-over par 291 in the final round and won the tournament with a three-day total of 42-over par 894. Florida, ranked 21st in the county, shot a 10-over par 294 in the final round and finished nine strokes off the pace at 51-over par 903. Eastern Kentucky and St. John's tied for third place at 73-over par 925, with ULM placing fifth at 76-over par 928, Penn taking sixth at 77-over par 929 and Hartford seventh at 79-over par 931.

TCU's Tim Hoge and Florida's Tim McKenny tied for first place in the field of 81 golfers, posting scores of 8-over par 221.

Junior Vincenzo Salina (Vandoeuvres, Switzerland/Institut Florimont) tied for 11th place to lead the Hoyas, finishing with a three-day score of 15-over par 228. Salina shot a 6-over par 77 in Sunday's final round.

Senior Tim Hager (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock North) posted a final round score of 11-over par 82 and finished in a tie for 26th place at 21-over par 234. Senior Garrett Logan (Henderson, Nev./Bishop Gorman) and sophomore Brandon Ellis (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis de Sales) tied for 31st place at 32-over par 235 and freshman Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) tied for 66th place at 36-over par 249.
