Georgetown Men's Golf Opens Spring Season at Middleburg Bank Invitational

The Hoyas begin play at Kingsmill Resort on Sunday.

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's golf team opens its spring season on Sunday morning at the Middleburg Bank Invitational at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va. The three-day tournament is hosted by William & Mary.

The Hoyas begin play on the par-70, 6,765 yard course on Sunday, March 23, with the play beginning at 7:55 a.m. for the first 18 holes. The 15-team field will play 18 holes each day for three days. Georgetown will be joined by host William & Mary, Appalachian State, Eastern Kentucky, James Madison, Texas Tech, UNC-Greensboro, Eastern Michigan, Miami (Ohio), Dayton, George Mason, Boston College, Delaware, Loyola (Ill.), Temple and St. Joseph's.

The Hoyas return to action for the first time since October 28, 2013, after a strong final day at The Cobra Invitational at Miromar Lakes Golf Club - helped them to a fifth place finish in a 13-team field.

The Hoyas lineup for the Middleburg Bank Invitational will feature: 1. Greg Podufal, 2. Charlie vonArentschildt, 3. Ed McCrossen, 4. Brian Tohir, 5. Andrew Rudy.
