WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's golf team is back in action this weekend, playing in the Princeton Invitational, being hosted by Princeton University at the Springdale Golf Club in New Jersey.
This year's is the 26th annual edition of Princeton's home tournament, which began in 1987. It has been played every year except 2003, when the scheduled event was rained out.
Including Georgetown, twelve teams will compete in the event, including all Ivy League teams - host Princeton, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard and Penn - as well as Rider, Rutgers, Saint Joseph's, Temple and Yale. The par-71 course measures 6,390 yards.
The Georgetown lineup will be led by seniors Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) and Taylor Hall (Roswell, Ga./Trinity Catholic).
