May 16, 2007

Washington, D.C. - Georgetown University's Department of Athletics has announced that the Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md. is the new home for the Hoya men's and women's golf programs. Both teams will officially make the facility their home course during the upcoming year and will have the opportunity to practice there throughout the year. The men's and women's teams will host their Hoya Invitational tournament at Four Streams in the fall and spring, respectively.

"The Members Club at Four Streams is one of the premiere facilities for golf, not only in this area, but it's one of the best in the country," Georgetown Head Men's Golf Coach Tommy Hunter said.

"Having the opportunity to make the Members Club at Four Streams our home course will be a great plus for our program," Hoya Women's Head Coach Patty Post said. "This course will provide a great learning experience for our student-athletes."

The Members Club at Four Streams is an exclusive member-owned private golf club located north of Potomac, Maryland and is the first signature design in the United States from the renowned Price/Smyers Golf Course Design Group, led by renowned professional Nick Price and architect Steve Smyers.
