WASHINGTON - Georgetown University senior men's golfers Brian Dorfman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) was selected to the Division I Ping All-Northeast Region team. Dorfman was one of 25 golfers selected to the Northeast team and one of 155 players selected across six regions nationally.

The senior co-captain helped lead the Hoyas to a fifth place finish at the BIG EAST Championship in May, capping off a 2011-12 season in which the team finished among the top-five five times and among the top-10 in seven of 10 tournaments played.

Dorfman was a member of the 2010 BIG EAST Championship team when he was a sophomore and competed in the NCAA South Central Regional in Texas.

Dorfman also won two tournaments, firing a 7-under par 206 to capture the individual title at the Maryland Intercollegiate and then shooting a 3-under par 210 to win the Bearcat Invitational.

In 98 career rounds, Dorfman posted a career stroke average of 74.84 and had three career wins, seven top-10 finishes and 12 among the top-20.
