WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's golf team will host the annual Georgetown Intercollegiate at The Members Club at Four Streams in Beallsville, Md. on Monday, October 21 and Tuesday, October 22. Tee-time for the first round is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Monday morning.
The Georgetown Intercollegiate will feature one of the most talented fields in the history of the tournament, as No. 9 UAB is the highest-ranked program to play in the tournament. No. 80 Notre Dame gives the field one more program from the Golf Weekly Top-100. The Hoyas will also compete with Campbell, DePaul, Miami University (Ohio), Penn State, Saint Joseph's, Toledo, West Florida, William & Mary and Xavier.
This will be the Hoyas fourth competition of the fall, having finished sixth of 10 at the U.S. Naval Academy Invite, 13th at The Fightin' Irish Gridiron Classic and 14th of 17 at The Firestone Invitational.
Georgetown is led by junior tri-captain, Greg Podufal (Erie Pa./Cathedral Prep) who finished 24th overall at The Firestone Invitational (73-72-74) and freshman, Andrew Rudy (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines) who finished 39th at The Fighting Irish Gridiron Classic (73-75-76).
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday with the final round of 18 holes on Tuesday.
