Georgetown men's lacrosse hosted University of Virginia for the first time on Senior Night at a sold out Cooper Field.
The Hoyas defeated the Friars, 8-5, on Saturday, April 9 at Cooper Field.
The Georgetown men's lacrosse team hosted No. 15 Loyola (Md.) at Cooper Field on Wednesday, March 23.
2018: BIG EAST Champions … Played in all 17 games as Georgetown’s primary faceoff specialist … won 157-of-290 (.541) trips to the ‘X’ … His 157 faceoff wins are seventh most in a season all-time on the Hilltop … Finished his career in sixth place in faceoff wins in just three seasons … Finished fourth all-time in faceoff attempts … Led the Hoyas with 70 ground balls … tallied a goal against Marist (3/6) and four assists on the season … Credited with eight caused turnovers … Won over 50% of his faceoffs in nine games … Went 15-for-25 (.600) at No. 13/13 Villanova (4/14), 19-for-24 (.791) against No. 12/14 Villanova (5/3) in the BIG EAST Semifinals and 15-of-23 (.652) at No. 2/5 Johns Hopkins in the NCAA First Round … Collected 11 ground balls at Robert Morris (2/17) and 10 against Villanova in the BIG EAST Tournament.
2017: Appeared in 13 games … Collected a career-high 26 ground balls … Registered four ground balls against Robert Morris (3/7), Marquette (3/25) and Providence (4/8) … Scored one goal on the season in a 12-7 victory over Robert Morris (3/7) … Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
2016: Played in all 14 games as a sophomore … Collected 24 ground balls on the season … Hauled in four ground balls against Mount St. Mary’s (3/1) and Virginia (4/23) … Went 69-for-168 at the faceoff ‘X’ … Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
2015: Did not see time during his freshman season due to injury.
Prior to Georgetown: A four-year letterwinner and four-year starter in lacrosse as a midfielder at San Ramon Valley ... Selected as a captain for his junior and senior season ... Named a USILA All-American in 2014 ... Selected All-East Bay Metro as a senior ... Named All-East Bay Athletic League Most Valuable Player in 2014 ... Two-time First Team All-EBAL in 2012 and 2013 ... Helped lead school to NCS Division I Championship as a sophomore and to the championship game as a senior ... Also earned two varsity letters in football and was a Second Team All-EBAL selection at linebacker ... Coached in high school by Peter Worstell and Todd French.
