Defensively, Nick Marrocco (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) posted another double-digit save performance with 12 and allowed just nine goals for his sixth win of the year. Hobart (2-4) jumped on the board first, scoring just over three minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Georgetown responded with three-straight goals, but the Statesmen answered back with two goals in the final minute, including one as the horn sounded, to salvage a 3-3 tie after the first quarter.

In the second, GU and Hobart matched early goals before the Blue & Gray posted two unanswered goals to close out the half and take a 6-4 lead into the break.

Coming out strong in the third, Georgetown outscored Hobart 4-2 in the frame to take its largest lead of the day at 10-5 before closing out the stanza with a four-goal advantage, up 10-6. The Statesmen outscored the Hoyas in the fourth, 3-2, but it wasn't enough as the Blue & Gray closed out the victory to remain undefeated on the season.

The Hoyas return to action as they travel to Philadelphia to face Drexel on Saturday, March 17 at 1 p.m.
