Georgetown Men's Lacrosse Televised in All Six Home Games in 2011

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's lacrosse team will have each of its six home games televised during the 2011 season. It will be the third consecutive season that each of the Hoyas' home games have been televised.
Overall, Georgetown will play on television for nine of its 14 games, for audiences during 2011 season. Georgetown will play five games on Verizon Fios1, three games on the ESPN family of networks and one on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN).
The Hoyas, ranked No. 18 in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Top 25 poll, will play its first televised game of the 2011 season on Saturday, Feb. 26, as they travel to College Park, Md. for its annual early-season game with local-rival Maryland. The game slated for a 3 p.m. face-off on ESPNU. They will also be broadcasted on ESPNU when travel to South Bend, Ind. to take on BIG EAST opponent and NCAA Championship finalist Notre Dame on Sunday, April 10 with the face-off time scheduled for noon.
Georgetown will host reigning BIG EAST Champion Syracuse on ESPN at the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. on Saturday, March 12. The 11 a.m. face-off begins a day of NCAA men's lacrosse coverage as part of a tripleheader on ESPN.
MASN will be broadcasting when Georgetown hosts Ivy League opponent Yale, on Saturday, April 23 at Multi-Sport Field. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. face-off.
Verizon Fios1 will carry five men's lacrosse games, including four of the six home contests, with the first being played on March 19 when GU takes on BIG EAST foe, Providence at 1 p.m. The Hoyas' will also host non-league local rivals, Navy (Friday, April 1) and Loyola (Md.) (Saturday, April 10), as well as BIG EAST foe Villanova (Saturday, May 7) on Verizon Fios1. Georgetown's, Saturday, April 30 game at BIG EAST opponent Rutgers will also be broadcast on Verizon Fios1.
