Brian Casey Named to BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Brian Casey scored a career-high four goals in GU's loss to Lafayette.

WASHINGTON - Senior attackman Brian Casey (Bethesda, Md./Georgetown Prep) was named to the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll after his career-high four goal, one assist performance in the Hoyas opening game, an 11-10 overtime loss to Lafayette on Saturday.

Casey, a preseason All-BIG EAST selection, scored two goals within the first one-minute and 30 seconds of the opening face-off and then added his fourth goal with 2:58 remaining in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime for the first four-goal game of his career.

Casey was a three-time weekly honor roll selection in 2012 when he lead the Hoyas with 35 points (20 goals, 15 assists).

Georgetown returns to action on Sunday, February 24 when they host Navy at Noon at Multi-Sport Field, as the two school's resume its Boyle Cup rivalry. Tickets are now available for all men's lacrosse home games. For more information, please visit WeAreGeorgetown.com/tickets.
