WASHINGTON - The No. 14 Georgetown University men's lacrosse team (1-0, 0-0 BIG EAST) travels to College Park, Md. to take on No. 3 Maryland at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium on Saturday with the face-off scheduled for 3 p.m. The game will be the 11th meeting in the history of the programs, with the Hoyas winning each of its final two trips to Maryland.

Saturday's game will be shown live on ESPNU with Rob Simmelkjaer doing the play-by-play and Matt Ward providing analysis.

Georgetown trails the all-time series with Maryland 2-8, but has earned both of its victories in its last two trips to College Park, Md.

The Hoyas opened its season last Sunday, meeting Jacksonville for the first time in program history at the Sunshine Classic. Junior midfielder Zack Angel, and sophomore attackmen Travis Comeau and Davey Emala each scored three goals, while sophomore midfielder Dan McKinney scored twice in GU's 15-12 victory. The Hoyas were also 2-for-3 in extra-man opportunities.

Senior midfielder Brian Tabb went 18-for-28 in the face-off circle, while senior defender Barney Ehrmann picked up four ground balls and caused five turnovers.

Maryland also won its first game, defeating Detroit Mercy 16-4 last weekend, as Ryan Young, Grant Catalino, Travis Reed and John Haus each had four points in the win. Defensively, Jesse Bernhardt and Landon Carr each had three ground balls and three caused turnovers for the Terps.
