March 11, 2013

WASHINGTON - Redshirt junior long stick midfielder Tyler Knarr (Eagleville, Pa./LaSalle College) has been selected to the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll after a dominant performance at the face-off X in the Georgetown University men's lacrosse team's 8-6 loss to Harvard on Saturday.

Knarr went 12-of-16 on face-offs and picked up five ground balls, while winning both face-off attempts in the fourth quarter for the Hoyas. His .750 face-off percentage on Saturday was a career-best and 12 face-off wins was the second best single-game mark of his career. Knarr is currently sixth in the NCAA with a .632 face-off winning percentage. This is the first BIG EAST weekly honor Knarr has received during his career.

The Hoyas return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Emmitsburg, Md. to take on Mount St. Mary's (3-4, 0-0 NEC). The game time has been moved from 7 p.m. to 4 p.m. for Tuesday's game with The Mount.
