March 12, 2012

WASHINGTON - Senior midfielder Zack Angel (Park Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) has been named to the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll for his performance in Georgetown's 11-10 victory over No. 20 Harvard on Saturday afternoon. Angel scored three goals, including the eventual game-winner.

The spot on the weekly honor is the first career selection for Angel, who was named preseason All-BIG EAST by the league coaches prior to the season. He is also the fourth Georgetown player this season to be named to the weekly honor roll, joining Brian Casey, Travis Comeau and Patrick Murray.

Angel posted his second consecutive three-goal game on Saturday and the fourth three-goal game of his career. In addition to the scoring the eventual game-winner, Angel's first two goals broke ties, with the game featuring five tied scores.

Through three games, he is tied for the team lead with eight goals and tied for second in the BIG EAST, averaging 2.67 goals per game.
