WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's lacrosse team (2-11, 1-3 BIG EAST) travels to Queens, N.Y. to conclude its regular season against BIG EAST rival St. John's University (1-12, 0-4 BIG EAST) on Saturday afternoon at DaSilva Memorial Field. The opening faceoff between the Hoyas and Red Storm is scheduled for 1 p.m.

HOYAS TO END SEASON FOLLOWING ST. JOHN'S GAME: This will be the final game of the 2016 season for the Hoyas as they devote the remainder of the semester to supporting each other and finishing up their academic commitments.
REMEMBERING EDDIE BLATZ JR.: The Georgetown University Athletics Department and members of the University community are mourning the loss of junior men's lacrosse player Ed Blatz Jr. (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City), who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. A defenseman who had appeared in 25 games, starting 17 during his career, Blatz Jr. was enrolled in the McDonough School of Business and was a management major. The Hoyas will honor Blatz by wearing a black circular patch with his No. 22 on each of their jerseys.
SERIES INFORMATION: The Blue & Gray meet St. John's for the 17th time in program history, with Georgetown holding a 13-3 all-time series advantage. The Hoyas defeated the Red Storm, 13-10, on Senior Day 2015, as Bo Stafford scored four goals to lead the team. Sophomore midfielder Ryan Hursey (Finksburg, Md./Westminster) and sophomore attack Zeke Morrill (Baltimore, Md./Gilman [Deerfield]) each scored two goals in the win. Georgetown lost to SJU in its last trip to DaSilva Field, 15-7, in 2014.
LAST GAME: Graduate student midfielder Joe Bucci (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) tied a career-high with five goals on Senior Night, but it was not enough for the Georgetown) to Virginia in an 8-7 loss in front of a sellout crowd at Cooper Field. Bucci, one of the Hoyas four graduating players honored prior to the game, paced the offense in his last career home game, as three of his five goals tied the score against the Cavaliers.
FOUR HOYAS PLAYING LAST GAME: Bucci, senior defenseman Curt Brooks (North Potomac, Md./Wootton), senior midfielder Nic Mahaney (Portland, Maine/Deerfield) and senior midfielder Corey Parke (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) will all be playing their last career game against St. John's. The senior class of Brooks, Mahaney and Parke represent the first group to play its entire career under Head Coach Kevin Warne. Bucci is the last player to play for Dave Urick.
GEORGETOWN LEADERS: Freshman Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) leads the Hoyas with 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists), while Bucci is the Hoya leader with 18 goals. Junior midfielder Devon Lewis (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) has nine goals and 10 assists. Sophomore goalie Nick Marrocco (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) leads the BIG EAST with 11.27 saves per game.
ABOUT ST. JOHN'S: The Red Storm will be honoring their eight-man senior class for Senior Day on Saturday. One of those seniors, attack Eric DeJohn, is coming off being named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week with a league-high eight points on four goals and four assists in a loss to Villanova. DeJohn is third in the league averaging 4.00 points per game. Faceoff specialist Justin Corpolongo was named to the weekly honor roll, winning 17-of-32 faceoffs, with seven groundballs, one goal and two assists.
