Marrocco Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

WASHINGTON - Georgetown University junior Nick Marrocco (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) was named to the BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday. He paced the Hoyas between the pipes in a 14-4 win over St. John’s in the 2017 season finale.

Marrocco collected 13 saves as Hoyas won their second-straight game to close out the season. He eclipsed the 500 career save mark in the victory and now has 502 in his three-year career, sixth-most in program history.

Men's Lacrosse Falls Short, 8-5, Despite Second Half Run
The Georgetown University men's lacrosse team (2-12, 1-4 BIG EAST) concluded its 2016 season with an 8-5 loss to St. John's University (2-12, 1-4 BIG EAST) on Senior Day at DaSilva Memorial Field on campus at SJU.

The Blue & Gray allowed a season-low four goals, all of which came in a 12:26 span of playing time.

Georgetown wrapped up the 2017 campaign with a 4-10 overall record and a 1-4 mark in BIG EAST play.
