WASHINGTON - Georgetown University senior Charlie Ford (San Carlos, Calif./St. Ignatius) was selected to participate in the 76th Annual USILA/Nike North-South All-Star game, to be played at Providence College’s Chapey Field on Friday, May 26. Ford is the 41st Hoya to be selected for the prestigious game and the fifth under Head Coach Kevin Warne.
A two-time All-BIG EAST selection, Ford was a second team honoree as a sophomore and earned first team recognition at long stick midfielder as a junior. During his senior campaign, he transitioned back to close defense and was among the Georgetown leaders in caused turnovers and ground balls.
For his career, Ford has played in 58 games and amassed 107 ground balls to go with 29 caused turnovers. He also notched three assists during his tenure with the Blue & Gray.
The USILA/Nike North-South games are an excellent opportunity for the senior student-athletes to finish their collegiate career and carry on the tradition. This tradition started in 1940 and has been played every year with the exception of 1944 and 1945. These games will bring together over 120 of the finest senior men's lacrosse players in the country.
