Neil Berment joined the Hoya staff prior to the 2011 campaign. He is the director of community service and video overseeing day-to-day operations, marketing, sponsorship, training sessions and player development. Berment came to the Hilltop from the University of South Carolina Aiken where he was an assistant and goalkeepers coach for six seasons. With the Pacers, he assisted with scouting, recruiting, travel and camps. USCA had incredible success with Berment in the mix with six-consecutive Peach Belt Conference Tournament berths and a trip to the championship game in 2006. Additionally, the squad had nine all-region honors and a honorable mention All-American. While in South Carolina, Berment also worked with the state's Olympic Development Program and served as an instructor for the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association. His ODP squad advanced to a pair of regional championships with a number of selections to the regional hold over camps. Since 2002, Berment has been running Soccer Development International which develops players and works with soccer organizations holding clinics and camps. He has coached throughout the United States and abroad most notably working with the Caribbean Stars and Black Rock United of the West Indies. Berment was a defender for USCA where he earned a bachelor's of science in business administration and management. He holds a premier diploma and advanced national diploma from the NSCAA while also receiving a National "C "License from the United States Soccer Federation. |
