WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's soccer team has a busy weekend scheduled with matchups against a pair of Big South opponents in Davidson, N.C., at the Davidson adidas Classic. The Hoyas will face Coastal Carolina on Friday evening at 5 p.m., and then take on UNC-Asheville on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Georgetown is currently 1-1-1 on the season with a huge win over No. 19 UCLA last Sunday. The Hoya backline has given up just two goals in the first three games, while the offense scored its first goals of the season on Sunday against UCLA. This will be the first meeting between both of the squads but the sixth between the Hoyas and a Big South Conference institution. Georgetown is 5-1 all-time against the Big South Conference.

Coastal Carolina is 1-1-1 on the season as well with its most recent win coming against St. Francis in the Coastal Carolina adidas Classic. A deflection off of James Stapleton gave the Chanticleers the 1-0 victory for their first victory of 2009. Coastal Carolina was selected to finish second in the Big South after going 10-10-1 last season and losing just four starters.

Asheville is 1-1-1 on the season after tying Wofford 0-0 in its last contest on Monday evening. The Bulldogs have been plagued by injury with five starters not suiting up for the Wofford game. Asheville was 7-8-4 last season going 3-3-2 in conference play.

Live stats will be available for both contests. They can be found in the men's soccer schedule on
