Bruhn Earns a Spot on Men's Tennis All-BIG EAST Squad

Senior men's tennis player Andrew Bruhn (Storrs, Conn./E.O. Smith) was named All-BIG EAST on Thursday by the conference office. He is first player to earn All-BIG EAST honors under Georgetown Head Coach Gordie Ernst.

The seventh-seeded Georgetown University men's tennis team (14-8) fell to the No. 2 University of Louisville Cardinals in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament in Tampa, Fla., on Friday afternoon. The Blue & Gray will now face No. 6 Marquette in a consolation match on Saturday.

The Georgetown University men's tennis team finished off a strong regular season campaign with a 5-2 win over the Villanova University Wildcats on Saturday at the McDonough Outdoor Tennis Complex. The Hoyas won six of their last seven matches to finish the regular season with a mark of 14-7 overall and 2-1 in BIG EAST Conference play.
Men's Tennis Falters Against No. 57 St. John's

The Georgetown University men's tennis squad snapped a five-match win streak falling to the No. 57 St. John's University Red Storm (16-6, 3-0 BIG EAST) on Friday at the McDonough Outdoor Tennis Complex in a BIG EAST matchup. Despite a solid individual performance from senior Andrew Bruhn (Storrs, Conn./E.O. Smith), Georgetown fell by a score of 5-2. The Hoyas are now 13-7 overall and 1-1 in BIG EAST Conference play.
