Men's Tennis Seeded Fifth at 2013 BIG EAST Championship

Hoyas went undefeated against league foes during the regular season, defeating Villanova, UConn and St. John's.

2013-2014: In his senior season, while serving as team captain for second year in a row, Distaso went 3-6 in fall play with a 6-4; 7-5 victory over Peter Pello on Norfolk State on Sept. 22 at the Georgetown Classic, a 6-3; 1-6; 10-6 win over Brown University's Thomas Nath in the Brown-hosted Margaux Powers Memorial Tournament and 6-2; 6-0 over St. Joseph's Jose Sierra at the ITA Regionals to conclude the fall season...Finished fall doubles play with a 3-4 record winning once with Max Novak against a pair from Johns Hopkins and twice with Alex Tropiano...Was 2-2 while being paired with Tropiano in fall doubles play.

2012-2013: In his junior season, Distaso went 18-7 in singles play...Went 3-4 in the fall for singles and 15-3 in the spring...Opened the spring season by winning six straight matches...Finished the season going 9-1...Played twice out of the third position, but lost both matches...Primarily played from the number four and five positions...Went 10-1 in doubles play in the fall while being paired with Charlie Caris, only losing their final match on Oct. 22 to a pair from Penn State...Went 8-15 in spring doubles play (two matches with Daniel Khanin, two matches with Alex Tropiano and 19 with Caris)...Served as team captain...Awarded Most Valuable Player on Georgetown's tennis team... Nominated to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team for a third year.

2011-2012: Went 13-7 in singles play...Played at the fifth and sixth position for most of the year...Won six straight singles matches from March 3 - April 1...Went 13-7 in doubles play...Paired with Brian Ward for the fall season and a mix of Ward, Alex Tropiano, John Brosens and Charlie Caris for the spring season...Finished out the season of doubles play going 5-1 with Caris, only losing their final match on April 20...Nominated to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team for a second consecutive year.

2010-2011: In his freshman season, Distaso went 10-15 in singles play and at one point went on a 7-2 streak from Feb. 19 - April 6. Was paired with Michael Clarke for four doubles matches on Sept. 19 and went 3-1. Was primarily paired with Brian Ward (along with three matches with Bryan Miller, one with Mieszoko and one with Tim Walsh) for the remainder of the fall and spring seasons... Was 11-10 in doubles plays...Nominated to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.

Before GU: A four-year letterwinner at Edmond North...Captained the tennis team his junior and senior seasons...Played number 1 singles from 2006-2010...Captained Edmond North High School to the 6A State Cahmpionships in 2010...Awarded All-State...Awarded the Jim Thorpe Award...Valedictorian of his senior class.
