2013-2014: Coming into Georgetown as a freshman, Mahlangu played in 21 matches, 10 of which were singles and 11 doubles...He went 4-6 overall in the fall singles play with victories coming against Princeton's Alex Day, 6-3; 2-6; 6-2, at the Farnsworth Invitational, Norfolk State's Sam Lemberger, 6-4; 6-1, and George Washington's Daniel O'Connor, 7-5; 6-2, at the Georgetown Classic and a win at the ITA Regionals in Blacksburg, Va. against Liberty's Egon Samaai, 6-3; 6-1...Mahlangu was paired with Jack Murphy for three fall doubles matches and Shane Korber for eight...Went 2-1 with Jack Murphy to open the fall schedule...Closed his fall doubles play with Korber over the last eight matches as they went 3-5...Went 3-5 in singles matches and 4-2 in doubles during the spring season...Recorded two-straight victories, the first a 6-3, 6-3 final over Aiden McNulty of Boston College, which was followed by a 6-0, 6-4 triumph over Tanner Baine at George Mason...Final singles victory of the spring came Feb. 8 against Alex Hagermoser, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, of No. 65-ranked Yale....Won four-straight matches to start the spring season with doubles partner Jack Murphy...The first was a 6-3 victory over Matt Wagner and Alexandre Thirouin of Boston College, followed by a 6-1 win over Jimmy Davis and Aaron Capitel at George Mason the following week... The last two wins were identical 6-5 triumphs over Jonathan Quenard and Dylan Trent of Richmond and Photos Photiades and Alex Hagermoser of No.-65 ranked Yale.
