WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's tennis team lost to Lynn University on Tuesday in Boca Raton, Florida, 7-2. The squad fell to the Fighting Knights, but had some solid performances throughout the match. With the loss, GU slips to 2-3 on the season.

In doubles action, seniors Peter Beatty (Portland, Ore./Middlesex School) and Mac Rechan (Clayton, Mo./Clayton) clinched a win against Jean-Baptiste Mateo and Florian Clemares, 9-8. Additionally, junior Michael Chen (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) and freshman Rohan Kamdar (Singapore/Anglo Chinese School) defeated Tristan Houle and Gabriel Hocevar, 8-6.

In singles, freshman Connor Lee (San Marino, Calif./San Marino) came close to defeating Houle, but lost his last two sets, 7-5, 6-7, 4-10. Senior Marco Lam (Hong Kong, China/Diocesan Boys' School) battled Jose Porfirio in all three sets, but could not finish his last set, 1-6, 6-2, 1-6.

The Blue & Gray will return to action on Thursday, March 8, at Barry in Miami Shores, Florida. The match is set for noon.
