WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's tennis team had a successful weekend at the Margaux Powers Invitational hosted by Brown University in Providence, R.I. The Hoyas faced squads from Brown, Boston College and the University of Pennsylvania, coming away with victories in both singles and doubles play.

Sophomore John Brosens (Bedford, N.Y./Brunswick School) and freshman Kevin Katz (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) had big weekends, sweeping singles play and winning two of three in doubles as a duo on the court.

Brosens defeated players from Penn and BC, while also winning over an opponent from Brown in a three-set battle 4-6, 7-6, 10-8. Katz joined him going 3-0 in singles play winning all three matches in two sets showing the Hoyas' bright future.
