Men's Tennis Hosts Davidson on Saturday, 7 p.m.

WASHINGTON – Georgetown men’s tennis (4-3) will host the Davidson Wildcats (1-6) on Sat., Feb. 22 at the Burke Racquet and Swim Club in Burke, Va. at 7 p.m.
Burke, Va. is less than 20 miles southwest of Georgetown’s campus.
The Hoyas play their first match since the weekend of Feb. 8-9 when they traveled up to New Haven, Conn. GU played Yale and Bryant, but lost both matches.
Before the two losses, Georgetown won its four previous matches and will look to get back on track when they play the 1-6 Wildcats.
Sophomore Daniel Khanin (Baldwin, N.Y./Pendleton) started all seven of Georgetown’s dual matches in the No. 1 position as he continues to take on the opponent’s top players. Khanin is also 2-1 in doubles dual play when he is paired with junior Alex Tropiano (Laurel Hollow, N.Y./Cold Spring Harbor).
Junior Shane Korber (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona Del Mar) primarily plays out of the No. 2 position for the Hoyas and is 3-3 on the spring. Korber won his last match against Bryant University after coming back after dropping his first initial set.
Senior co-captain Casey Distaso (The Woodlands, Texas/Edmond North) owns four wins in duals play in 2014. All four of his wins have come out of the No. 3 position.
Freshman Jack Murphy (Coronado, Calif./La Jolla Country Day) leads the Hoyas with a five dual victories this spring. Four of his wins came in the No. 4 position; one from the No. 5 position.
Murphy and fellow freshman Yannik Mahlangu (Henderson, Nev./Green Valley) boast a 4-1 spring doubles record and have twice as many victories as any other Georgetown pair.
The Davidson Wildcats play George Mason on Fri., Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m. before going up against the Hoyas on Saturday night.
