Men's Tennis Falls to No. 54 George Washington

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown men’s tennis squad (7-11) fell to the No. 54 nationally-ranked George Washington Colonials (13-6) on Friday afternoon at the GW Tennis Center, 5-2.

Georgetown sophomore Daniel Khanin (Baldwin, N.Y./Pendleton) won the only singles match for GU. Khanin defeated GW’s Francisco Dias in three sets from the No. 1 position, 7-6 (5), 1-6, 6-4.

The Hoyas dropped the No. 2-6 matches in straight sets to their nationally-ranked opponent.

The men played the six singles matches before starting doubles play, though the match was already decided before the doubles matches began with GW up 5-1.

Georgetown took the doubles point, 2-1, to complete the match with a final score of 5-2.

The Blue & Gray are next in action tomorrow, Sat., April 12 on campus at 2 p.m. ET when they take on Norfolk State
