WASHINGTON, D.C. - WASHINGTON, D.C. - Georgetown University men's and women's tennis coach Gordie Ernst has announced the captain's for the 2008-2009 season. Senior Adam Gross (Quogue, N.Y./Westhampton) will captain the men's team, while sophomore Alex Sebia (Plains, Pa./Scranton Prep) will captain the women's team. Gross, went 11-11 in singles play and 9-6 in doubles play, including an 8-2 doubles victory with partner Jeff Schnell against St. John's in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament.
Sebia, went 11-7 in singles play and 6-13 in doubles play. Sebia won a team-high seven consecutive singles matches to close out the regular season in 2008. The Hoyas men begin their fall schedule when they host the Georgetown Classic on Friday, September 19. The women will open their fall season on Friday, September 12 when they head to Baltimore, Md. to take part in the Towson Invitational.
