ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Hoyas solidified two more All-America honors today in addition to last night's women's DMR, on the final day of the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held at the Albuquerque Convention Center and hosted by the University of New Mexico. Andrea Keklak (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury/Princeton) and Katrina Coogan (Exeter, N.H./Phillips Exeter Academy) finished fourth in the women's 800-meter finals and fifth in the women's 3,000-meter finals, respectively.

Keklak went out in the women's 800-meter finals today and did what she has done throughout this entire indoor season - a breakout campaign for the junior - she ran with confidence and assertiveness. In just her first NCAA meet where she has competed, previously attending as an alternate, Keklak can now call herself an All-American and has added one more layer to the tradition that is Georgetown track & field.

"I was just really excited to be in the finals," "The plan was to get out near the lead and since I was on the inside, I knew people were going to be cutting in so I just decided to go to the front. I wish I could have hung on a little more at the end, but I know I gave it 100 percent and I'm very happy."

Keklak lined up in the fifth position of the first waterfall and after some bustling following the stagger, took the lead without question. Competing with an elite field of 800-meter runners, Keklak owned the lead for over 600 meters of the race, relinquishing the lead on the first turn of the bell lap. As Oregon's Laura Roesler made her move on the back straightaway and splitting 29.90 over the final 200 to win the event, Keklak found herself among the top half of the field, fighting for the top four spots. Getting narrowly outkicked by a pair from Oklahoma State, Keklak took fourth with a time of 2:06.42 in an incredibly poised race, consistent with how she has competed all season long.

"I was excited to race for Georgetown," Keklak added. "All the people back home who I knew were watching on their laptops, I was really proud to be racing with `Georgetown' on the front."

In the women's 3,000-meter finals, Coogan found herself in familiar territory as she lined up for the same final just one year ago in Fayetteville, Ark. With another year of training on the Hilltop under her belt, Coogan looked more confident than she did just one year ago. Following the break, Coogan got inside on the rail and was third for the entire first half of the race, holding off the field as they would try to go wide on the outside on the home straightaway. It was not until Iona's Kate Avery tried to open up the race with seven laps to go that the pack got shaken up a bit.

Coogan continued to stay even in the fourth and fifth positions with Dartmouth's Abbey D'Agostino, the defending champion, who had yet to make her move. With the field taking it to the next gear, Coogan slipped to seventh with three laps to go and even to eighth on the first turn of the lap, but she never looked phased by her position. Going in to the final 400 meters, Coogan started to make her move and pick people off. She closed the race with the second-fastest final 200 meter split (33.45) to finish fifth overall with a time of 9:17.38.

The Blue & Gray totals six All-America honors among five student-athletes with Coogan garnering two honors (3,000m, DMR). Keklak earns her first All-America nod (800m) along with three new All-Americans in the women's DMR in Hannah Neczypor (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton), Deseree King (Oxon Hill, Md./Oxon Hill) and Sabrina Southerland (New York, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cardozo).

The Hoyas open the outdoor season on March 20-21 at the William & Mary Invitational in Williamsburg, Va.
