WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team sent a small contingent to the Maryland Invitational on Saturday to open the outdoor season, taking just one weekend off between the end of the indoor season at the NCAA Championships and the beginning of the outdoor season. The Hoyas made the short trip to Kehoe Track on Maryland's campus in College Park for the one-day meet.

On the men's side, Richard D'Ambrosio (Collegeville, Pa./Malvern Prep) turned in a second-place performance in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.25m.

Ebony McKeever (San Francisco, Calif./Sacred Heart Cathedral) was one of the Hoyas to turn in a top-five performance as she finished fifth in the women's 800-meter run, clocking 2:24.43.

The men's 800-meter run saw a quartet of Hoyas among the top 10 with Michael Crozier (Arlington, Va./Gonzaga) placing fourth (4:03.68).

In the men's 110-meter high hurdles, Carter Taylor (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) finished fifth in the field with a time of 15.83.

The Georgetown track & field program will continue the season on April 3-4 as the team splits sites between the Cardinal Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., and the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Va.
