Darrah Finishes 11th at NCAA Track & Field Championships

Max Darrah

June 7, 2013

WASHINGTON - At historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Max Darrah made his first appearance in the finals of an NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Darrah was in a tough field of 12 of the most talented athletes in the country as he competed in the finals of the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase. Though it seemed Darrah was running out of steam when the field kicked on the bell lap, he still managed to stave off IU's Robby Nierman and finished 11th with a time of 8:55.86.

The Hoyas will be in action on one final day as Andrew Springer will compete in the men's 5,000-meter finals on Saturday, June 8.
