All-American Andrea Keklak

Feb. 15, 2015

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University cross country program picked up five accolades from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) earlier this week as they announced the Division I All-Academic individuals as well as the teams to earn All-Academic status. Both the men's and women's team earned the distinction while three women receive the individual nod.

Katrina Coogan (Exeter, N.H./Phillips Exeter Academy), Andrea Keklak (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury/Princeton) and Samantha Nadel (Glen Head, N.Y./North Shore), were the three to be named All-Academic for the women. The distinction went to all student-athletes who finished in the top 15, or among the top10 percent at an NCAA regional meet while also carrying a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher.

Both the men's and women's squads were named All-Academic teams as they both achieved an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Georgetown returns to action on Friday and Saturday, February 20-21, at the Meyo Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
