WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team will compete at the 2015 BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships this weekend, held at the New Balance Track & Field Center at the historic Armory in New York City. The Hoyas return a wealth of talent from a year ago that saw the Blue & Gray take home five individual titles and two relay titles en route to a second-place finish on both the men's and women's side. The two-day championship meet will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network.

All-American Ahmed Bile (Annandale, Va./Annandale) will again compete in the men's 800-meter run, an event he won in both the indoor and outdoor championships in 2014. Bile is coming off an impressive season that has seen him run a sub-four mile twice during the 2015 campaign, an unprecedented feat in the Blue & Gray's illustrious history.

All-American Sabrina Southerland (New York, N.Y./Benjamin N. Cardozo) returns to her home track at the Armory, where she won the women's 800-meter run in 2014. Familiar with the 200-meter banked track from her high school days, Southerland led for the entirety of the race en route to the win one season ago. The sophomore will not defend her title, but instead compete in the women's 1,000-meter run.

Both distance medley relay (DMR) squads will be in the hunt for a conference title as the men and the women have both recorded impressive times this season. The women still have the fastest collegiate time of the season (10:57.71) and the men own the second-fastest time (9:28.22).

Saturday will host a number of trials as well as the finals of the DMR and the 5,000-meter run. Competition on the track starts at 5:30 p.m. ET while the first field event starts at 5 p.m. Sunday's opening ceremony is slated for 10:15 a.m., with the first of a day of finals events starting at 10:30 a.m.

The two-day meet will be broadcast in its entirety on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Pat O'Keefe and Cayleigh Griffin on the call. Coverage starts on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., and on Sunday at 10:15 a.m.
