WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University track & field team tallied 16 on the All-BIG EAST squad following the two-day 2016 BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships, presented by Jeep, over the weekend at the Spire Institute, an Olympic development training site in Geneva, Ohio. The Hoya men finished fourth and the women placed fifth at the championships.
The Hoyas totaled 16 named All-BIG EAST with nine women and seven men making the all-conference squad. The All-BIG EAST squad is comprised of BIG EAST competitors who finished in the top three in any individual or relay event at the championships. The list is comprised of 69 women and 65 men (134 total) with 36 student-athletes (19 women, 17 men) earning all-conference accolades in multiple events.
The Hoyas will continue the postseason with the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Preliminary Championships, held May 26-28 at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

• Ahmed Bile and Joe White each tallied their seventh BIG EAST titles (indoor and outdoor combined) last weekend, moving the duo into a tie for sixth place with former Hoya Jesse O’Connell for most BIG EAST titles.
