USATF Q&A with Former Hoya Andrew Bumbalough

Andrew Bumbalough

June 5, 2012

WASHINGTON - As the Georgetown track & field team was in Jacksonville, Fla., competing at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor East Preliminary Championships, USA Track & Field (USATF) conducted a Q&A with former Hoya and seven-time All-American on the Hilltop Andrew Bumbalough.

The 2009 Hoya graduate finished his eligibility in the spring of 2010 as he earned a master's in sports management from Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies. He ended his illustrious career with his seventh All-America distinction, taking third place in the men's 5,000-meter run.

While Bumbalough continues to prep for the Olympic trials June 22-July 1, having already run an Olympic "A" standard in the 5,000-meter run, the Georgetown track & field will return to action at the NCAA Championships held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa June 6-9. Coverage will be available via NCAA.com and ESPN3.com starting Wednesday, June 6 with live coverage on ESPNU available on Saturday, June 9.
