WASHINGTON - Georgetown track & field alum Emily Infeld finished fourth in the women’s 10,000-meter finals on Sunday at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, held at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene.

Infeld, already earning a spot in the 10,000-meter finals a week ago, stayed at the front of the pack in familiar company as Molly Huddle, also a 10,000-meter Olympian, was also at the front.

With two laps to go, Huddle stretched the pack thin as she upped the speed. Infeld and Nike Bowerman Track Club teammate Shelby Houlihan went with Huddle on the bell lap but as the pace picked up, Huddle and Houlihan pulled away and Kim Conley pulled in to third. Infeld was in a race for fourth against Abbey D’Agostino and held her off, clocking 15:13.87 for fourth.
