No. 14/13 Hoyas Fall to No. 3/3 Connecticut

The No. 14/13 Georgetown University women's basketball team dropped a tough 80-38 decision to the University of Connecticut Huskies (23-2, 11-1 BIG EAST) on Saturday afternoon at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn. The loss snapped a four-game win streak for the Blue & Gray who is now 19-6 overall and 8-4 in BIG EAST play.

The No. 14/13 Georgetown University women's basketball squad (19-5, 8-3 BIG EAST) will play the No. 3/3 University of Connecticut Huskies (22-2, 10-1 BIG EAST) on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m., at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn. The game will be broadcast on regional sports networks including MASN and SNY as part of the BIG EAST package with Bob Picozzi and LaChina Robinson on the call.

Rodgers Named to USBWA Midseason Watch List

Georgetown University women's basketball junior guard Sugar Rodgers (Suffolk, Va./King's Fork) was named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association's Midseason Watch List on Thursday marking a first in her impressive career on the Hilltop. The shooting guard was featured a week ago on the Wooden Midseason Top 20.

No. 14/13 Georgetown Leads Wire-to-Wire, Beats Seton Hall 56-51

The No. 14/13 Georgetown University women's basketball team led wire-to-wire downing the Seton Hall University Pirates (7-18, 0-11 BIG EAST), 56-51, on Wednesday evening at McDonough Arena. With 23 points and 11 rebounds, junior guard Sugar Rodgers (Suffolk, Va./King's Fork) posted her first double-double of the season and the fifth of her career.

No. 14/13 Georgetown Hosts Seton Hall on Wednesday

The No. 14/13 Georgetown University women's basketball squad (18-5, 7-3 BIG EAST) will host the Seton Hall University Pirates (7-17, 0-10 BIG EAST) on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., at McDonough Arena. Georgetown downed the University of Cincinnati, 65-54, on Saturday in Ohio.
