Mosley Joins Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Georgetown University women’s basketball Head Coach Patrick Knapp announced today that Alisha Mosley is joining the Hoyas’ coaching staff for the 2004-2005 season. Mosley was formerly an assistant women’s basketball coach for three seasons at Loyola College. Her coaching duties for the Hoyas will include academic counseling, scouting, recruiting, player development and the creation of a new Georgetown kids club program.

“Alisha is a wonderful addition to our staff,” commented Coach Knapp. “She is enthusiastic and built a solid three year coaching foundation while at Loyola. Along with coaching Alisha has a strong academic counseling and teaching background.”

At Loyola Mosley helped in the Greyhounds scouting and recruiting along with being in charge of all travel coordination. She focused on Loyola’s guard play.

Mosley graduated from Wake Forest University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a four-year letterwinner for the Demon Deacons and earned her team’s MVP award and All-ACC Honorable Mention status her senior season. A point guard, Mosley finished her career third on the Deacon’s all-time list in three pointers, eighth in free-throw percentage and 10th in assists.

After college Mosley played for the Atlanta Justice of the National Women’s Basketball League in 2000-2001 along with working for FoxSportsNet in Atlanta.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland Mosley graduated from Mt. Hebron High School in 1996.
