Hoyas Ink Two to National Letters of Intent
Nov. 19, 2013
WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Women's Basketball Coach Jim Lewishas announced two players signed to National Letters of Intent from the Class of 2014 this past week. Dorothy Adomako and Chènya Sealey will both join the Hoyas on the Hilltop next season.
Dorothy Adomako: A quick, explosive player who never takes a play off
Adomako is a wing from Midlothian, Va., where she attends Cosby High School. She was last year's All-Metro Player of the Year as well as both the Regional and District Player of the Year. Adomako is a three-time team MVP and All-State honoree including making the first team a season ago. She's the No. 57 overall recruit in the nation according to ESPN's HoopGurlz and the highest ranked player entering the BIG EAST next season. Adomako is a member of the honor roll and plays AAU with Boo Williams Elite.
Lewis on Adomako: Dorothy brings energy to the team. She's tenacious on offense, aggressive on defense and really hits the boards. She's an outstanding talent and has incredible potential. The sky's the limit.
Chènya Sealey: A gutsy player and consistent shooter with amazing range and great awareness on the floor
Sealey is a point guard and four-year starter at Bartow High School in Bartow, Florida. Last season she averaged 18.0 ppg as well as 6.0 apg earning All-County and the Coach's Award for leadership along the way. Sealey is a two-time Honorable Mention All-County selection and is currently the captain of her high school squad. She is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and plays AAU with Central Florida Elite.
Lewis on Sealey: Chènya will give us depth at the point guard position. She's a floor general who's calm and poised with the ball. She has a high basketball IQ and provides us with another shooter on the perimeter.
The current Hoya squad will host Princeton on Saturday at McDonough Arena at 2 p.m. Live stats and a webcast will be available through www.GUHoyas.com.
