Sarah Trowbridge arrived at the Hilltop in September of 2006 as the Georgetown Women's Novice Lightweight Coach.
A three-year varsity rower at the University of Michigan, Trowbridge qualified for the NCAA Championship all three years, stroking for the varsity eight her senior season. In addition, she has won multiple medals at the U.S. Nationals in 2005 and 2006. Trowbridge graduated in May 2006 with a bachelor of arts in English. She is currently training with the Potomac Boat Club elite sculling program, preparing for a spot on the U.S. National Team.
A Guilford, Connecticut native, Trowbridge moved to Washington, D.C. during the summer to become the Associate Head Coach for the Thompson Boat Center J-18 Development Program. Previously, she was the head novice coach and assistant head coach at Bishop Dennis J. O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va. from February-May 2006. During her junior and senior years at Michigan, Trowbridge held many coaching responsibilities at the Ann Arbor Rowing Club, while also acting as an assistant coach for the Pioneer High School crew.
